A new dimension of automation: coordinate tracking, stillness detection and fall monitoring
The Aqara FP2 presence sensor is a revolutionary smart home tool that solves the problem of lights suddenly turning off while you read a book, work at your computer or take a bath. Unlike infrared motion sensors that only react to movement, the built-in millimeter-wave radar picks up even micro-movements caused by your breathing and heartbeat. The device comes in a compact white housing with a built-in adjustable magnetic stand and connects to your smart home directly via Wi-Fi.
Benefits and features of the Aqara FP2 sensor:
Room mapping and zoning (up to 30 zones): In the Aqara Home app you can build a virtual map of a room of up to 40 $m^2$ and divide it into 30 independent zones (for example: "sofa", "desk", "doorway", "kitchen area"). One FP2 sensor replaces up to ten regular sensors and lets you run precise scenarios: the light turns on above the desk only when you approach it, and turns off as soon as you leave the zone.
Multi-person tracking (up to 5 people): The high-precision radar can simultaneously determine the exact coordinates and direction of movement of up to 5 people in real time. The system tracks each person individually without mixing up automation scenarios.
Fall detection: When the sensor is mounted on the ceiling, a special safety mode is activated. The FP2 instantly recognizes when a person in the room has fallen and sends an emergency push notification to relatives' smartphones or triggers a siren, which is critical for caring for older people (the feature works without video cameras, keeping 100% privacy).
Built-in light sensor: Lets you flexibly combine scenarios. For example, the hallway light turns on when you are present only if the room has actually become dark, saving electricity on sunny days.
Direct Wi-Fi connection and Matter: The FP2 does not need an Aqara Zigbee hub for basic operation – it connects directly to your home Wi-Fi network. The device supports local integration with Apple Home (HomeKit), Yandex with Alisa, Google Home, Home Assistant and the universal Matter standard, instantly passing the status of each configured zone.
