Description
Smart wall switch E1 from Aqara is an ergonomic solution for controlling lighting in a smart home. Maximum load up to 1100 W (up to 5 A) — suitable for connecting LED lamps, chandeliers, ceiling lights, track systems, sconces and other devices with a total power not exceeding the specified one. E1 is a wired bell-type switch. This means that after pressing the key returns to its original position.
The kit includes a switch, a set of screws and a user manual. The minimalistic design and ease of installation make the E1 switch an excellent choice for any interior.
To operate the device in the Aqara Home ecosystem, you need Smart home center (hub) with Zigbee 3.0 support.
The neutral version is a Zigbee signal repeater.
Peculiarities
Bell type switch: the switch key returns to its original position
Easy to install - suitable even for shallow socket boxes
Supports control of lighting, curtains and other devices via the hub
Reliable wireless connectivity with Zigbee 3.0
Pass-through circuit: The Aqara E1 smart switch connects to the power grid and performs basic lighting control, and the Aqara H1 smart wireless switch can be placed on any flat surface (for example, on a wall), providing the convenience of a pass-through light control circuit.
Not compatible with dimmable luminaires, LED strips and devices with power below 3 W (version without neutral)
Overheat protection: Built-in thermal protection prevents the device from overheating, increasing safety.
State memory function: The device retains its last state (on/off) when the power is turned off, and automatically restores it when power is supplied.
How it works
Thanks to support for the Zigbee 3.0 protocol, the switch is easily integrated into the Aqara ecosystem via a hub and allows you to control lighting or curtains remotely, according to a schedule or according to pre-created automations.
The switch operates at temperatures from 0 to +40°C and relative humidity up to 95% (without condensation).
Installation
Thanks to the shortened internal part, the switch can be easily mounted in shallow socket boxes, as well as in standard ones with a large number of terminals and twists. Suitable for square and round Russian socket boxes. The device is connected to a 220 V network. Models are available with one or two keys, with or without connection to the neutral line.
Support for third party ecosystems
The switch works with Apple HomeKit.
Remote control
Control lights, curtains and other devices remotely using a switch.
Automation
Scheduled lighting control
Set up automation: if the time is 19:00, then turn on the lights in the living room through the Aqara E1 smart switch. This will allow you to automatically turn on the lights in the evening, creating a cozy atmosphere.
When we came home
Set up automation with the Aqara smart lock. For example, when the door opened from 18:00 to 23:00, the lights turned on.
Leaving the house
When you press the switch E1, the lights will turn off and the curtains will close. Use this mode when leaving the house to instantly turn off lights and close curtains throughout the house.
